Taking a very short pause from her collaboration with Russell Maliphant this year, Syvlie Guillem will be returning to the repertory and dance three performances of Manon at La Scala.
The ballet, which last time out in Milan saw her taken to hospital after a miscalculation brought her down on her chin during the final pas de deux with Massimo Murru, has always been a favourite with the Milanese public. Now fans are curious to see how she copes with the fiendish lifts and pointe-work.
