Update: Licitra was driving a scooter and wasn’t wearing a helmet

More details have emerged about the serious accident which has put tenor Salvatore Licitra into intensive care.

Shortly before midnight, yesterday, Licitra was riding his Vespa, his soprano girlfriend with him, when he lost control of the bike. He was not wearing a crash helmet and has suffered severe cranial damage.
