25 years after BalletBoyz presented Pointless at the Roundhouse, the company is back with Still Pointless, a retrospective journey through a quarter of a century of performing dance on stage and screen.
Artistic Directors and BalletBoyz founders Michael Nunn and William Trevitt said, “Here are some of our favourite thought-provoking, ambitious, and entertaining BalletBoyz moments to celebrate a quarter of a century since we first started – which makes us sound far too old!
“25 years on, we are still relentlessly referred to as ‘the boyz’ even well into our 50s, and we still relentlessly pursue new collaborations, new opportunities, and new ways of producing, presenting, and sharing exciting and moving works of art. Whether or not we can bring ourselves to get back to daily class and back on stage by May is left to be determined…”

Still Pointless will be at Sadler’s Wells from Tuesday 12 until Saturday 16 May 2026 ahead of a UK tour, and will combine live performance with film, celebrating the past but also presenting new work with new collaborators. Still Pointless opens with the world premiere of a commissioned piece by Seirian Griffiths.
The evening will feature excerpts of work from the BalletBoyz repertoire by Christopher Wheeldon, Maxine Doyle, Liam Scarlett, Xie Xin, and Javier de Frutos, among others, and with original music from Cassie Kinoshi, Keaton Henson, and Max Richter. The performance will end with a section from Russell Maliphant‘s seminal work Critical Mass, performed as part of the original show at the Roundhouse in 2001.
Ten cross-generational dancers, some new to the company and some returning, include Dan Baines, Paris Fitzpatrick, Seirian Griffiths, Benji Knapper, Luigi Nardone and Kai Tomioka.
The programme for Still Pointless includes:

BalletBoyz Artistic Directors Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt met as students at the Royal Ballet School.
In 1987, they graduated into The Royal Ballet company where they danced for twelve years. During this time, a shared interest in photography and film found them creating a documentary for Channel 4, titled BalletBoyz. The four-part series revealed their lives as “ordinary” ballet dancers.
Their fascination with the twin strands of stage and screen has continued throughout their careers.
