Svetlana Zakharova is to dance two modern pieces in the Gala Baiser Volé which closes the season at Shanghai's Grand Theatre on 9 August. It will be the first time that the Russian ballerina dances in China. Rudi Van Dantzig, Dutch dancer, choreographer and writer, dies at 78

The Dutch ballet dancer and choreographer Rudi Van Dantzig, one of the famous names in the world of contemporary dance, has died in a hospital in Amsterdam at 78 after a long illness. He was born in Amsterdam August 4, 1933.
