Gramilano logo 2018

I’m still Gramilano aka Graham Spicer, but the eyes logo has been replaced by something less egotistic, though the little boy reading the book is meant to represent the young me!

“Ballet, opera, music and theatre” has since become “Dance, opera, photography”.

Here’s the old version of the ABOUT ME page:

Graham SpicerAbout me… Gramilano aka (by my Mum and Dad) as Graham Spicer. My short blog biography says,

Director, writer and actor in Milan, blogging about ballet, opera, music and theatre for people who are a bit like me and like some of the things I like.

Which is true.

Around the internet my blogger name is usually accompanied by a rather posy little photo, which actually wasn’t posed at all, but being that I’m the worst subject imaginable, it worked out well for a profile pic.

The avatar became a zoomed in eye which is sinister and intriguing at the same time I find. Or pretentious, depending on your point of view.

Graham Spicer

Then there are both eyes (yes, I’ve got two), which make up the blog’s header; a sort of Big Brother’s watching you. It’s meant to represent, here’s the world as I see it. Yep, I’m just full of original ideas.

Face-eyes

If I was braver I’d show you the full morning-after-the-night-before version with bags (well, they are there all day), and sagging eyelids, but I’m not going to.

If you want to contact me for Marriages, Bar Mitzvahs, or Christenings, feel free. But I’ll only come and eat the cake because I play the piano badly, sing only when everyone’s out, and dancer friends praise the quality of my en dedans.

P.S. Only writing this because the webmaster said I had to have an ‘about me’ page. Hope he’s happy!

I like your style man. It seems you are a funny person who enjoys attention and are a bit exhibionist. Still, your work is very good. I would love to meet you in person. We could be great friends. We seem to enjoy the same things. I am a teacher of English, and I adore ballet, photography, good conversation and opera to go to sleep (kidding) I live in Mexico City, when you come I’ll be your guide. If my arthritis allows me I’ll take you to see fabulous places. Hugs man. Prof. Juan Enrique

I love your humor, Gramilano! I enjoyed poking around your website. And thank you for following me on Istagram! It’s a cool thing to meet artists, to connect and start a conversation.

    All the best to you!
