Robert Wilson’s video portrait of Roberto Bolle in “Perchance to Dream” at Center 548

The end of November marked the start of a six-week program in that celebrates Italian design and culture.  I Saloni Milano, or the Milan Furniture Fair — sponsored by Federlegno Arredo, an Italian federation of wood and cork furnishings manufacturers; Cosmit, the fair organizer; the Italian Trade Commission; and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development –  includes events at 20 Italian furniture showrooms until Jan. 8, as well as two special installations.

On Monday night, “Perchance to Dream,” an exhibition by the artist and director , opens at Center 548 in Chelsea, where it will run through Dec. 18. In the exhibition, Wilson has installed his video portrait of the Italian ballet star  on 31 screens in seven different rooms, through which are interspersed pieces of Italian furniture that Wilson chose for their form, shape, color and shadows.
