At a time when Broadway musicians are protesting about the continual shrinkage of the pit orchestra, Les Misérables in London is augmenting its players.
The production will close for three days, following the evening performance June 18, for the installation of a brand-new state-of-the-art surround sound system and the building of a bigger pit to accommodate the slightly larger orchestra necessary to play the new 25th Anniversary Tour orchestrations. The production will re-open with the new cast and musicians June 23.
