Joffrey Ballet dancers voted yesterday to approve an agreement that would end their labour dispute with management and attended rehearsals on schedule.
The agreement now must be ratified by the national board of the dancers’ union, the American Guild of Musical Artists, who were expected to vote on the matter sometime Monday evening, according to Barbara Hillman, the union’s Midwest representative. The agreement, reached July 14 and including a minimum 10 percent raise for the dancers, ended a lockout lasting about a week and half.
