Woody Allen began shooting scenes in Rome today for his new film The Bop Decameron.
Traffic near the Piazza Augusto Imperatore went into a tailspin as onlookers stopped to catch a glimpse of Hollywood star Penelope Cruz along with Italian actors Antonio Albanese and Alessandra Mastronardi on the set.
The Bop Decameron is Allen’s first film set in the Eternal City. “Rome is a very romantic and beautiful city, like Barcelona, Paris, London and New York, but much more so. I can’t wait to get started here”, he said.
