David Hallberg to appear on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report

23 September 2011 by Gramilano Leave a Comment

American comedian and tv host, Stephen Colbert better brush up on his pliés, says the New York Times. On December 7, the Comedy Central pundit will play host to David Hallberg, the American dancer who announced earlier this week that he will join the Bolshoi Ballet — the first time an American has enlisted with the Russian company.

Hallberg, a principal dancer at The American Ballet Theatre is due to start at the Bolshoi on November 4. The Colbert Report has previously featured Mikhail Baryshnikov, but not to dance, which means that Hallberg will be the first ballet dancer to perform on the show.
