Developing and expanding upon 30 years of experience racked up by Torino's original and prestigious SettembreMusica, beginning in 2007 the festival became MITO SettembreMusica as Milano (MI) and Torino (TO) teamed up for a joint effort in the arts (MITO).
A slew of great musical performances at popular prices throughout the month of September invades theatres, concert halls, churches, courtyards and piazzas, transforming Torino and Milano into one immense concert venue.
MITO SettembreMusica may be considered at the forefront of integration processes involving the two host cities and a prime example of cultural vitality. Recent editions of the annual 3-week musical cavalcade have counted over 100 initiatives in each of the host cities and a minimum of 2-3 daily performances in Torino and Milano.

Graham Spicer is a writer, director and photographer in Milan, blogging (under the name ‘Gramilano') about dance, opera, music and photography for people “who are a bit like me and like some of the things I like”. He was a regular columnist for Opera Now magazine and wrote for the BBC until transferring to Italy.
His scribblings have appeared in various publications from Woman's Weekly to Gay Times, and he wrote the ‘Danza in Italia' column for Dancing Times magazine.
