La Scala has been forced to cancel tomorrow's performance of L'italiana in Algeri after a company member tested positive yesterday morning, Sunday 23 May, for Covid-19.
Only one performance for online streaming was planned of L'italiana in Algeri as previous regulations didn't allow for public performances. However, recent changes allow up to 500 people to be present in the auditorium so the theatre decided to sell tickets for just €20 to people under 30. As well as the streaming on Facebook and YouTube, the production was also to be broadcast live on the radio.
