From the 2022-2023 season, Jacopo Tissi will be a guest principal dancer with the La Scala Ballet Company. The contract has been agreed with ballet director Manuel Legris and theatre manager Dominique Meyer to make it possible for him to dance in several productions during the next season with the company.
After leaving the Bolshoi Theatre just a few months after his promotion to principal dancer, he now will resume his relationship with La Scala. He trained at La Scala's ballet school and worked in the company for several years. In this capacity, Tissi will take part in July's performances of Giselle scheduled from 9 to 16 July.
Tissi returned to dance on La Scala's stage in 2018 during the Bolshoi's tour, and again just a few months ago, on 28 January, in Rudolf Nureyev's La Bayadère when he danced with Svetlana Zakharova after her scheduled partner, Timofej Andrijashenko, tested positive for Covid.

That’s a fabulous solution, it surely was so difficult for him to have to leave after such a short time at the Bolshoi. A great talent who is such a pleasure to watch .
