The Daily Star reports that Kate Moss is planning to build a ballet studio in her North London house for daughter Lila. The eight-year-old is obsessed with dance and Moss wants to give her somewhere to practice.
“Lila is besotted with ballet since passing her first exam and is now adamant she wants to become a dancer. Kate is really behind Lila’s ambition. She thinks she’s a really great dancer and needs all the support she can get, so that’s what’s she going to give her.
“She’s planning a special room with strip wooden floors, bars round the walls, huge gold-edged mirrored walls, and a grand piano. It will be the full works,” a source told the Daily Star.
But in case you were worried, she won’t be shut in there all alone. Jude Law and Sadie Frost’s nine-year-old, Iris, is mad about ballet too, so they’ll practice together.
Now isn’t that nice…

Graham Spicer is a writer, director and photographer in Milan, blogging (under the name ‘Gramilano’) about dance, opera, music and photography for people “who are a bit like me and like some of the things I like”. He was a regular columnist for Opera Now magazine and wrote for the BBC until transferring to Italy.
His scribblings have appeared in various publications from Woman’s Weekly to Gay Times, and he wrote the ‘Danza in Italia’ column for Dancing Times magazine.

Thank God that Kate’s child didn’t want to become a surgeon!! An operating theatre in one’s home is so tacky…
Or an undertaker – it leaves such horrible smells about the house!
Lucky little girl!!
