Glenn Close may return to Sunset Boulevard
Andrew Lloyd Webber has wanted to film his musical Sunset Boulevard for many years. In fact, which better musical to film than one about films.
The Daily Mail says that Lloyd Webber may court his Broadway Norma Desmond, Glenn Close, to return to the address of 10086 Sunset Boulevard for the film. He told the paper,
We’d rehearse and use a sound stage or a theatre and film it as a performance on stage.”
He said that unlike Love Never Dies, which was filmed on the stage show’s set in Australia for about £400,000, a design team would need to construct all of Sunset Boulevard from scratch, totaling nearly £1.5 million.
