Today Roberto Bolle turns forty, and he has announced both his summer Bolle and Friends tour and the publication of a new book.
The 2015 tour will see the Bolle caravan arrive in Los Angeles at the Music Center, then Italian dates will follow at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, the Verona Arena, the Grand Theatre in Pompeii, the Caracalla Baths in Rome and Teatro Ariston in San Remo. After the summer there will be an additional three dates in Catania's Teatro Bellini.
In a week's time, a new book will be on sale from Rizzoli publishers. Viaggio nella Bellezza will be available from 2 April in Italian, and will be published in English as Voyage into Beauty from 2 June.
This coffee table book shows Bolle in some of Italy's most suggestive locations while on tour in previous Roberto Bolle and Friends tours. Photographer Luciano Romano has captured him in Venice in St Mark's Square, in Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, the Colosseum in Rome and the Arena in Verona, while Fabrizio Ferri photographed him among the ruins in Pompeii. Bob Wilson has written an introduction.
